Prime Minister Modi on Monday attended the meeting via video conference with CM’s of all states to discuss the post lockdown strategy and ways to boost the economic growth of the country amid global coronavirus pandemic.

Unlike previous meetings where only few CM’s were invited for the meeting, this time all the CM’s were invited and allowed to share their opinions.

The video conference meeting with CM’s of all states/UT’s was also attended by Defence minister Rajnath Singh, Home minister Amit Shah, Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Health minister Harsh Vardhan among others.

The forefront point of the meeting was to discuss post lockdown strategy and ways to bring back economic curve on the track amid the global pandemic. The third phase of lockdown which was announced by the authorities after prime minister’s previous virtual interaction with the CM’s, is going to end on May 17.

However, the third lockdown has considerable or some amount of relaxations in all the districts who fall under green, orange and red zones including movement of private and public transport within the state boundary, and further opening up of the economy and private offices with 33% attendance.

India is in complete lockdown since March 25 to control the spread of the infection which took the lives of more than 2,000 people so far in the country.
