Pakistan: Cow for slaughter lifted by crane from rooftop to celebrate Eid

In a horrific incident in Pakistan, an innocent cow was lifted with the help of a crane to its death to celebrate Eid-ul-Adha. The blood wretched and gruesome video was shared by author Tarak Fateh.

In a video shared which went viral on social media, it is clearly visible that helpless cow is being lifted by crane from the double story house until unbalanced and falls to death.

The brainless incident was reported from Karachi, the financial services hub of Pakistan.   As per the various media outlets, each cow is reportedly sold for Rs. 5 lakh on the day of ‘Qurbani’.

The Eid-ul-Adha is said to be the most important festival of the Muslim calendar. The festive concludes the pilgrimage to Mecca and it lasts for three days and commemorates Ibrahim’s (Abraham) desire to follow God by sacrificing his son.

However, the same story appears in the Bible and is similar to Jews and Christians etymology. The only major difference is that Muslims believe the son was Ishmael rather than Isaac as told in the Old Testament.

The Eid-ul-Adha is being celebrated from 31 July – 1 Aug as per announced dates.
