Coronavirus: Total cases surpass 2.50 lakh, new 9,983 cases reported in the last 24 hour

With an increase in 9,983 cases in the past 24 hours, the total coronavirus patients in the country stand at 256,611.

The total number of active cases stands at 125,381 in the country with 1.24 lakh people were recovered from the disease. The total death toll crossed 7,000 plus with 206 succumbed to the infection in the last 24 hour.

States like Jammu & Kashmir, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal witnessed their highest single-day jump in coronavirus cases on Sunday.

Maharashtra COVID-19 tally is near 90,000 with 3,007 new coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours. Mumbai itself registered 1,420 COVID-19 cases in a day. The total death toll in the state stands at 3060.

The total number of corona patients in Delhi rose to 27,654 with 1300 cases in the past 24 hours. There were 16,229 active coronavirus patients in Delhi, second highest in India after Maharashtra.

Tamil Nadu and Jammu and Kashmir witnessed its biggest single-day rise with 1,515 and 620 reported positive for the coronavirus. The total COVID-19 cases in Tamil Nadu stands at 31,667 while in J&K, total cases are 4,087.

Gujarat’s COVID-19 count surged past 20,000 on Sunday. Total cases reported in Andhra Pradesh is 4,708 while in Madhya Pradesh total cases stands at 9,401.
