Coronavirus toll in India crosses 70,000 mark

With the rise of 3604 positive cases reported in the last 24 hours, total cases in India increases to 70, 756. The death toll rises to 2293 with 87 new deaths.

According to health ministry data, 22,454 patients are recovered and discharged from the hospitals. The number of total active cases in India is 46,008.

Maharashtra leads the list with 23,401 cases and 868 deaths. Till now 4,786 patients are recovered in Maharashtra.

Gujarat with 8,541 cases and 513 deaths stands on the second position in the list of most COVID-19 affected states. Tamil Nadu and Delhi have 8002 and 7233 cases, 53 and 73 deaths respectively.

Rajasthan with 3,988 patients is followed by Madhya Pradesh having 3785 cases. According to the health ministry report, 113 patients loss their lives in Rajasthan and 221 in Madhya Pradesh.
